2020 Writer’s Christmas Wish List

Well, this year has been one crazy ride. I don’t need to go over the bad; we remember it all and I don’t need to hash over it here. Now it’s Christmastime and New Year’s and Hanukkah—a time of celebrating and cheer and looking ahead to better things. Of giving and receiving and gratitude.

In that spirit, I’ve put together a list (and checked it twice—no, I’m not Santa, but I do edit) of the top five gifts I think might be on quite a few writers’ wish lists this year. Note that I don’t have all the products listed below, so this is not an endorsement, just a nod of curiosity.

SCRIVENER (software) – This is a very special word processor for writers. In fact, it’s more than a mere WP. It allows you to do many things that MS Word doesn’t. Curious to know more? Here’s a link: BUY HERE

MIDNIGHT IN PARIS (DVD) – I can’t tell you about the plot because that would ruin the surprise and delight of discovery. But I will say that it’s about a writer who longs for the past. The 1920s, to be specific. BUY HERE

THE GEEKY CHEF COOKBOOK: REAL-LIFE RECIPES FOR FANTASY FOODS by Cassandra Reeder (book) – This looks amazing! Who doesn’t want to bake (okay, I mean eat) Harry Potter’s pumpkin pasties or The Avengers’ Shawarma? BUY HERE

PERSONALIZED SEALING STAMP – Awesome, am I right? BUY HERE

KEEP CALM AND WRITE ON MUG – It’s been my mantra this year. BUY HERE

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukah! Joyous Kwanza! And a happy New Year!

Keep your nose in a book,
Beth
