As you can see, I’ve read a good amount of books (for me) this year! My favorite fiction books were The Inheritance Games series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes followed closely by Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and Empire of Storms/Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas.
What have YOU read this year? Any favorites? Let me know in the comments and have a very happy 2024!
Keep your nose in a book,
Beth
I did make a top 5 for fiction and top 5 for nonfiction, but I didn’t rank them 1-5, just picked 5 favorites. Picking one favorite our of 78 titles felt too stressful!
For nonfiction it was:
Uncanny Valley: A Memoir by Anna Wiener
To Dye For: How Toxic Fashion Is Making Us Sick and How We Can Fight Back by Alden Wicker
Robert E. Lee and Me: A Southerner’s Reckoning with the Myth of the Lost Cause by Ty Seidule
The Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession, and the Natural History Heist of the Century by Kirk Wallace Johnson
Zeitoun by Dave Eggers
For fiction it was:
Yellowface by R.F. Kuang
Nothing Sung and Nothing Spoken by Nita Tyndall
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
