7 Head-Bangingly Awesome Songs I Cannot Stop Listening to Now

Cassette tape/mixtape

Why did it take so long for me to discover Spotify Premium? I mean, I’d had a regular account for years and never used it, instead opting for YouTube and Amazon Music. The first one is hard to make playlists on because, well, ads. The second one is okay, but when I bought songs, a lot of times it wouldn’t let me play them. It got to be old and irritating. I mean, what writer wants to deal with ads and missing songs when you’re in the creative groove?

ANYWAY…

This is NOT an ad for Spotify. And the links to songs I’m going to share lead you to YouTube. Some of these songs I might have mentioned before. Others are new-ish to me. Ready?

1 – Belfast Child (cover) by Sydney Wayser

Sadly, this epic rendition is not available on Spotify, so I have a different version (not as epic) on my playlist.

2 – Burn Butcher Burn (The Witcher) by Joey Batey

A nice, angry song with some beautiful vocals. If you’re a fan of The Witcher TV series, you know what I mean. But if you haven’t watched all of season two, there might be some spoilers contained within, so be forewarned.

3 – Finder by Cyrus Reynolds

This one is a bit of a change of pace for me. Not rock, more pop–ish? Very pretty music, if not very clear vocals. If you enjoyed the trailers for the Little Women adaptation with Saoirse Ronan, you might like this one.

4 – Born for This by The Score

Pop-rock. The song makes me think of something Imagine Dragons might’ve come up with.

5 – Starcrusher by Cellar Darling

Celtic metal. It’s just–*chef’s kiss*

6 – Ruins of Illusion by LEAH

This song has real magical quality to it. Celtic-y as well 🙂

7 – Six Days by Cellar Darling

Another epic song from the Celtic metal band. Seriously, I like every song on their album “This is the Sound.”

What are some songs you can’t get enough of right now?

Keep your nose in a book,
