Plans for the Rest of 2020

IMG_2693

Ahhhh! Can this year just be over with already? So many bad things have happened to folks in 2020…and it’s just the beginning of June. I don’t want to rehash it all here. Instead, I’m going to look forward to the second half and pray/hope/plan that it is/for it to be a better 1/2.

I know plans can change in an instant, but I’d like to have some idea of what I’m shooting for before we’re knee-deep in. So, these plans are subject to change. With that being said….

JUNE:

  • Write 20,000 words on book three (to bring my total up to 60,000)
  • Write, edit, and turn in a synopsis for book three
  • Do edits on Holes in the Veil*

JULY:

  • Write 20,000 words on book three (to bring my total up to 80,000)
  • Do edits on Holes in the Veil*

AUGUST:

  • Write 20,000 words on book three (to bring my total up to 100,000)
  • Do edits on Holes in the Veil*

SEPTEMBER:

  • Take a week from writing–I will have earned it
  • Name characters for New Project
  • Flesh out story line for New Project
  • Start revising book three

OCTOBER:

  • Revise book three (two passes) and send to beta-readers
  • Write short cover copy for book three

NOVEMBER:

  • Revise book three (at least three passes)
  • Write long cover copy for book three
  • Start writing New Project

DECEMBER:

  • Finish up edits of book three
  • Write 10,000 words on New Project

*This all depends on when I receive the edits

This is not including keeping up with my reading and promotional/marketing stuff I need to be doing. Then everyday stuff. Like laundry and the never ending pile of dirty dishes.

What are your tentative plans for the remainder of the year? It’s okay if you don’t have any. Some of us are just surviving. I see you ❤

Keep your nose in a book,
Beth

  1. Thank you for thinking ahead in a positive way. Love how you’ve laid out what’s next in a simple and direct way. That’s inspiring! May the rest of the year bring you many words!
